Look Up at the Sky Day

a crisp, white wine
Silvio flicked his tail, propelling himself through the
water, leaving the others behind in a cloud of bubbles.
His many siblings swam together, their shiny bodies slipping
over each other; so close, they were almost one being.
Silvio had been warned not to leave the security of the
sardine ball but he longed to discover the source of the light above
them.
“Silvio! Come back!” his siblings called as he sliced upwards
through the water.
A willing seagull assisted the sardine in his quest to learn
what was above the surface.
Sadly, Silvio never returned to tell what he’d
discovered.
