Look Up at The Sky Day

Look Up at the Sky Day

by Dawn Knox

a crisp, white wine

Silvio flicked his tail, propelling himself through the water, leaving the others behind in a cloud of bubbles.
His many siblings swam together, their shiny bodies slipping over each other; so close, they were almost one being.
Silvio had been warned not to leave the security of the sardine ball but he longed to discover the source of the light above them.
“Silvio! Come back!” his siblings called as he sliced upwards through the water.
A willing seagull assisted the sardine in his quest to learn what was above the surface.
Sadly, Silvio never returned to tell what he’d discovered.
