Strangers ion the Night

The strange creature did not worry Robbie.So what if it had three heads (one purple, one orange, and another the vilest pink Robbie had ever seen)?

The important thing to remember was beings could not help how they were made. And Robbie knew he was no looker. Which was unfortunate because as a vampire, he was supposed to be a bit of a looker, to be able to carry off the debonair look, before carrying off some unfortunate victim.Robbie’s rotten luck there meant he had to suck the blood of farm animals from time to time. It wasn’t the best diet but he survived.

Robbie looked at the creature again who was busy studying him.

Robbie smiled.  ‘Trying to weigh up where to attack me first, are you? I wouldn’t bother. I’m a vampire.’ And Robbie displayed his fangs to prove it only to be outdone by three of the best sets of gnashers Robbie had ever seen.

Robbie wasn’t the brightest vampire ever either but he did know an opportunity when he saw one. ‘Look, why don’t you and I team up, pal? You and I could clean up on the celebrity ugly mugs circuit. We’d get money. We’d get food. We’d get regular work. I’d be the vampire. You can be… what are you by the way?’

‘Monster’. Each letter was stretched out as the strange creature tried to reach out with short claws to get to Robbie who darted out of the way easily.

‘Hmm… we’ll have to think of a better name. How about the creature the Tasteful Colour Scheme Fairy forgot?’

That was the last thing Robbie got to say. Robbie’s last utterance as such was that of a burp coming from the monster who ate him.

The monster sat to digest his meal. The vampire shouldn’t have taken the mickey out of his looks.
That was all.

He was a big creature but he had his sensitive side. Pity the vampire hadn’t realised.

The monster sighed. Time to move on and see if he could find someone else to be friends with then. It would be nice if they were female next time too.
